Celebrating the ‘Uncommon’
Jan 10, 2012 | Posted in General by Tony Aquila
We are excited to introduce our next generation of social media and cloud-based services – and our new website – which will highlight the “Uncommon” that thrives in the Solera organization…in nearly 60 nations throughout the world. Our guiding principles, which empower us to consistently deliver high value products, our global knowledge, which allows us to offer localized solutions that are smarter and more efficient, and our demonstration of profitable-innovation are the three factors we want to share with you and have emphasized throughout the site. Just like our products and services, we will give you an experience that pulls you in – turning something you need… into something you love.
This 80/20 Blog will serve as an interactive forum where you can read and discuss industry events. We’re fanatical about what we do and look forward to sharing our passion with you. In the coming months, you’ll get to hear from some of our leaders across the globe. We’ll also update you from time to time on some key metrics of interest, including ACV, repair costs and parts usage – among others.
One thing I’m really proud of and excited to share with you is the recent creation of the Solera Institute. Due to our strict operational discipline, we were able to build the infrastructure to create world-class training and development opportunities for our employees. The Solera Institute will rally over 300 employees each year – from Generation Y to Gen X to Baby Boomers – and was designed to foster tighter links throughout our multiple businesses and countries, while simultaneously giving back to local communities. The first Solera institute was held in September 2011 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, USA. In just 48 hours, 100 of our associates from over 30 countries raised nearly $50,000 for the local school district and provided a rapid and healthy boost to the local business community. Solera employees returned to their local operations with a stronger understanding of our core guiding principles and drills, having lived the Solera Way like never before.
Thanks again for stopping by. Whether you’re a customer, shareholder, employee or none of the above – we will continue to work our hardest to keep you a fan.
See you down the road,
Tony Aquila
